Chapter: Unripe-date drink and ripe-date drink should not be mixed if it is an intoxicant, and two cooked foods should not be put in one dish

Sahih al-Bukhari 5602
Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbade the mixing of ripe and unripe dates and also the mixing of dates and raisins (for preparing a drink) but the syrup of each kind of fruit should be prepared separately. (One may have such drinks if it is fresh.)
حضرت ابو قتادہ ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ نے اس سے روکا تھا کہ پختہ کھجور نیز کھجور اور منقیٰ کو ملا کر نبیذ بنائی جائے آپ نے ہر ایک کو جدا جدا بھگونے کا حکم دیا۔
Sayyiduna Abu Qatada (radiyallahu anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne is se roka tha ke pukhta khajoor neez khajoor aur munaqqa ko mila kar nabeez banayi jaye aap ne har ek ko juda juda bhigoone ka hukm diya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ التَّمْرِ وَالزَّهْوِ ، وَالتَّمْرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ ، وَلْيُنْبَذْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى حِدَةٍ .
