Sahih al-Bukhari 6563
Adi bin Hatim ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mentioned the Fire and turned his face aside and asked for Allah's protection from it, and then again he mentioned the Fire and turned his face aside and asked for Allah's protection from it and said, ‘protect yourselves from the Hellfire, even if with one half of a date, and he who cannot afford that, then (let him do so) by (saying) a good, pleasant word.’
حضرت عدی بن حاتم سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ جہنم ذکر کیا تو آپ نے اپنا چہرہ انور پھیر لیا اور اس سے پناہ مانگی پھر آگ کا ذکر کیا تو آپ نے اپنا چہرہ انور پھیر لیا اور اس سے پناہ مانگی پھر فرمایا: ”آگ سے بچو اگرچہ کھجور کا ایک ٹکڑا دے کر ممکن ہو۔ اگر کسی کو یہ بھی یہ میسر نہ ہو تو وہ اچھی بات کہہ کر اس سے محفوظ رہے۔“
Hazrat Adi bin Hatim (Razi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek martaba jahannam ka zikr kiya toh Aap ne apna chehra-e-anwar pheir liya aur us se panah mangi, phir aag ka zikr kiya toh Aap ne apna chehra-e-anwar pheir liya aur us se panah mangi, phir farmaya: 'Aag se bacho agarchay khajur ka ek tukda de kar mumkin ho. Agar kisi ko yeh bhi muyassar na ho toh woh achi baat keh kar us se mehfooz rahe.'
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ذَكَرَ النَّارَ ، فَأَشَاحَ بِوَجْهِهِ ، فَتَعَوَّذَ مِنْهَا ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ النَّارَ ، فَأَشَاحَ بِوَجْهِهِ ، فَتَعَوَّذَ مِنْهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَبِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ .
