Chapter: A display of spears and shields on 'Eid Festival day

باب الْحِرَابِ وَالدَّرَقِ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ
Sahih al-Bukhari 950
It was the day of `Id, and the Black people were playing with shields and spears; so either I requested the Prophet (p.b.u.h) or he asked me whether I would like to see the display. I replied in the affirmative. Then the Prophet (p.b.u.h) made me stand behind him and my cheek was touching his cheek and he was saying, Carry on! O Bani Arfida, till I got tired. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked me, Are you satisfied (Is that sufficient for you)? I replied in the affirmative and he told me to leave.
(حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے ہی روایت ہے انہوں نے فرمایا کہ) چونکہ وہ عید کا دن تھا، اس لیے حبشی ڈھالوں اور برچھیوں سے کھیل رہے تھے، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے درخواست کی یا آپ نے خود فرمایا: ’’کیا تم یہ کھیل دیکھنا چاہتی ہو؟‘‘ میں نے ہاں میں جواب دیا تو آپ نے مجھے اپنے پیچھے کھڑا کیا، میرا رخسار آپ کے دوش پر تھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اے بنو ارفدہ! اپنا کام جاری رکھو۔‘‘ یہاں تک کہ جب میں اُکتا گئی تو آپ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ’’بس تجھے کافی ہے؟‘‘ میں نے عرض کیا: جی ہاں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ’’اب چلی جاؤ۔‘‘
(Hazrat Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) se hi riwayat hai unhon ne farmaya ke) Chunke wo eid ka din tha, is liye Habshi dhalon aur barchion se khel rahe thay, mein ne Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se darkhwast ki ya aap ne khud farmaya: ''Kya tum yeh khel dekhna chahti ho?'' Mein ne haan mein jawab diya to aap ne mujhe apne peeche khara kiya, mera rukhsar aap ke dosh par tha. Aap ne farmaya: ''Ae Banu Arfada! Apna kaam jari rakho.'' Yahan tak ke jab mein ukta gayi to aap ne mujh se farmaya: ''Bas tujhe kafi hai?'' Mein ne arz kiya: Ji haan. Aap ne farmaya: ''Ab chali jao.' '
وَكَانَ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ يَلْعَبُ السُّودَانُ بِالدَّرَقِ وَالْحِرَابِ فَإِمَّا سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِمَّا قَالَ : تَشْتَهِينَ تَنْظُرِينَ فَقُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، فَأَقَامَنِي وَرَاءَهُ خَدِّي عَلَى خَدِّهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : دُونَكُمْ يَا بَنِي أَرْفِدَةَ حَتَّى إِذَا مَلِلْتُ ، قَالَ : حَسْبُكِ ، قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَاذْهَبِي .
