It is narrated by 'Urwa bin Zubair and 'Amra bint 'Abdur-Rahman that Sayyida 'Aisha radi Allahu anha (the wife of Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said that Sayyida Umm Habibah bint Jahsh radi Allahu anha (who was in the Nikah of Sayyiduna 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf radi Allahu anhu) suffered from Istihadah (non-menstrual bleeding) for seven years. She complained about it to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم . So he صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: "This is not menstrual blood, it is the blood of a vein. So when you see your menses (hayd), leave the prayer, and when the period (of menses) is over, perform ghusl and pray." Sayyida 'Aisha radi Allahu anha said: So she used to perform ghusl for every prayer and pray, and she would sit in the tub or basin of her sister, Zaynab bint Jahsh, and the redness of blood would float on top of the water.

عروة بن زبیر اور عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمٰن سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کی بیوی سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ سیدہ ام حبیبہ بنت جحش رضی اللہ عنہا جو کہ سیدنا عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ کے عقد میں تھیں، سات سال تک مرضِ استحاضہ میں مبتلا رہیں، رسول اللہ ﷺ سے اس کی شکایت کی تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہ حیض کا خون نہیں ہے، یہ ایک رگ کا خون ہے، تو جب تمہیں حیض آئے تو نماز چھوڑ دو، اور جب حیض کی مدت ختم ہو جائے تو غسل کرو اور نماز پڑھو۔“ سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: چنانچہ وہ ہرنماز کے لئے غسل کرتیں اور نماز پڑھتی تھیں، اور وہ اپنی بہن زینب بنت جحش کے ٹب یا تسلے میں بیٹھ جاتیں تو خون کی سرخی پانی کے اوپر تیرنے لگتی۔
Urwa bin Zubair aur Umrah bint Abdul Rahman se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki biwi Sayyidah Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne kaha keh Sayyidah Umm Habibah bint Jahsh ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) jo keh Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman bin Auf (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke aqad mein thin, saat saal tak marz e istihadha mein مبتلا rahin, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se is ki shikayat ki to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Yeh haiz ka khoon nahi hai, yeh ek rag ka khoon hai, to jab tumhein haiz aaye to namaz chhor do, aur jab haiz ki muddat khatam ho jaye to ghusl karo aur namaz parho." Sayyidah Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne kaha: Chunancha woh har namaz ke liye ghusl karti thin aur namaz parhti thin, aur woh apni behen Zainab bint Jahsh ke tub ya tasle mein baith jati to khoon ki surkhi pani ke upar tairne lagti.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: اسْتُحِيضَتْ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ وَهِيَ تَحْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ، فَشَكَتْ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ، وَإِنَّمَا هِيَ عِرْقٌ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ الْحَيْضَةُ، فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ، فَاغْتَسِلِي ثُمَّ صَلِّي"، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَكَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ، ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي، وَكَانَتْ تَقْعُدُ فِي مِرْكَنٍ لِأُخْتِهَا زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ حَتَّى إِنَّ حُمْرَةَ الدَّمِ لَتَعْلُو الْمَاءَ.
