It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The key to prayer is purity, its declaration of prohibition is the Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar), and its conclusion is the Salam (greetings of peace)."

سیدنا على رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”نماز کی کنجی طہارت ہے، اورتحریم اس کی تکبیر ہے، اور تحلیل اس کی سلام ہے۔“
Sayyidina Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Namaz ki kunji tahaarat hai, aur tahreem uski takbeer hai, aur tahleel uski salaam hai."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مِفْتَاحُ الصَّلَاةِ الطُّهُورُ، وَتَحْرِيمُهَا التَّكْبِيرُ، وَتَحْلِيلُهَا التَّسْلِيمُ".
