Chapter on a slave marrying without permission from their master

باب في العبد يتزوج بغير إذن من سيده

Sunan al-Darimi 2270

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Whoever slave marries without the permission of his master, then he is a fornicator."


Grade: Hasan

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جو غلام اپنے مالک کی اجازت کے بغیر نکاح کرے تو وہ زانی ہے۔“

Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) riwayat karte hain keh Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jo ghulam apne malik ki ijazat ke baghair nikah kare to woh zaani hai."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ تَزَوَّجَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهِ أَوْ أَهْلِهِ، فَهُوَ عَاهِرٌ".

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever from amongst the slaves marries without the permission of his masters, then he is a fornicator."


Grade: Hasan

سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جو غلام اپنے مالکوں کی اجازت کے بغیر نکاح کر لے وہ زنا کار ہے۔“

Sayyidna Abdullah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jo ghulam apne malikon ki ijazat ke baghair nikah kar le woh zina kar hai."

حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا مِنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبة، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: "أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ تَزَوَّجَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ مَوَالِيهِ، فَهُوَ زَانٍ".
