Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked: "O Messenger of Allah! I made a vow that if Allah Almighty grants you victory over Makkah, I will go to Jerusalem and pray there." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Pray here (in the Ka'bah)." He repeated his question three times, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Now it is up to you (meaning you have the choice to go to Jerusalem and pray there and fulfill your vow)."

سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک شخص نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں نے نذر مانی تھی کہ اگر الله تعالیٰ آپ کو مکہ کی فتح نصیب کرے تو میں بیت المقدس میں جا کر نماز پڑھوں گا۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہیں (کعبہ میں) نماز پڑھ لو۔“ اس نے تین بار اپنے سوال کو دہرایا، پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اب تمہاری مرضی ہے“ (یعنی تم کو اختیار ہے کہ بیت المقدس جا کر وہاں نماز پڑھو اور اپنی نذر کو پورا کرو)۔
Sayyidna Jabir bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek shakhs ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah! maine nazr mani thi ki agar Allah Ta'ala aap ko Makkah ki fatah nasib kare to main Baitul Muqaddas mein ja kar namaz padhun ga. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Yaheen (Kaaba mein) namaz padh lo.” Usne teen baar apne sawal ko dohraya, phir Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Ab tumhari marzi hai” (yani tum ko ikhtiyar hai ki Baitul Muqaddas ja kar wahan namaz padho aur apni nazr ko pura karo).
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي بَقِيَّةَ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ إِنْ فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ؟ فَقَالَ: "صَلِّ هَاهُنَا". فَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"شَأْنُكَ إِذَنْ".
