Chapter: Emphasis on fulfilling debts.

باب: ما جاء في التشديد في الدين

Sunan al-Darimi 2627

Our master Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The soul of the believer will be suspended as long as he has debt upon him." Meaning: It will not be allowed to enter Paradise, or it will not find rest, it will remain hanging.


Grade: Hasan

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”مومن کی جان جب تک اس پر قرض ہے معلق رہے گی۔“ یعنی: جنت میں داخل نہ ہونے پائے گی یا یہ کہ اس کو آرام نہ ملے گا، لٹکی رہے گی۔

Sayyidna Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Momin ki jaan jab tak us par qarz hai mulaq rahe gi.“ yani: Jannat mein dakhil na hone paye gi ya yeh keh us ko aaram na milay ga, latki rahe gi.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "نَفْسُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مُعَلَّقَةٌ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2628

Narrated Thawban, may Allah be pleased with him, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever’s soul departs his body while he is pure from three things will enter Paradise: arrogance, treachery, and debt.”


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے آزاد کردہ غلام سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جس کی روح بدن سے جدا ہو اور وہ تین چیزوں سے پاک ہو تو جنت میں جائے گا: تکبر، چوری، اور قرض سے۔“

Sayyiduna Sauban (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke azad karda gulam se marvi hai ki Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Jis ki rooh badan se juda ho aur wo teen cheezon se pak ho to Jannat mein jayega: takabbur, chori, aur qarz se“.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: "مَنْ فَارَقَ الرُّوحُ الْجَسَدَ وَهُوَ بَرِيءٌ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ: مِنَ الْكِبْرِ، وَالْغُلُولِ، وَالدَّيْنِ".
