Chapter: Zaid's statement about the grandfather.

باب: قول زيد في الجد

Sunan al-Darimi 2961

Hasan (may God have mercy on him) said that Sayyiduna Zayd (may God be pleased with him) used to make his grandfather a one-third partner with the brothers.

Grade: Hasan

حسن رحمہ اللہ نے کہا کہ سیدنا زید رضی اللہ عنہ بھائیوں کے ساتھ دادا کو تہائی کا شریک بناتے تھے۔

Hasan rehmatullah alaih ne kaha ke sayyidna Zaid razi Allah anhu bhaiyon ke sath dada ko teh'ai ka sharik banate thay.

(حديث موقوف) أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ: أَنَّ زَيْدًا كَانَ "يُشَرِّكُ الْجَدَّ مَعَ الْإِخْوَةِ إِلَى الثُّلُثِ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2962

Ibrahim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Zayd ibn Thabit, may Allah be pleased with him, used to give his paternal grandfather a third share [of the inheritance] along with the brothers, and he would not reduce it."

Grade: Sahih

ابراہیم رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: سیدنا زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ دادا کو بھائیوں کے ساتھ ثلث تقسیم کرتے تھے، اور اس میں کمی نہ کرتے۔

Ibrahim rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: Sayyiduna Zaid bin Sabit razi Allah anhu dada ko bhaiyon ke sath suls taqseem karte thay, aur is mein kami na karte.

(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ "يُقَاسِمُ بِالْجَدِّ مَعَ الْإِخْوَةِ إِلَى الثُّلُثِ، ثُمَّ لَا يُنْقِصُهُ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2963

It was narrated from Isma'il that 'Amir (Ash-Sha'bi) said: "Follow in the matter of the grandfather what the people (the scholars) have agreed upon." Imam Ad-Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Meaning the view of Sayyidina Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him)."

Grade: Sahih

اسماعیل سے مروی ہے عامر (الشعبی) نے کہا: دادا کے معاملے میں اس پر عمل کرو جس پر (علماء) لوگوں نے اجماع کیا ہے۔ امام دارمی رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: یعنی سیدنا زید رضی اللہ عنہ کا قول اپناؤ۔

Ismail se marvi hai Aamir (al-Shu'bi) ne kaha: Dada ke mamle mein is par amal karo jis par (ulama) logon ne ijma kiya hai. Imam Darmi rahimahu Allah ne kaha: Ya'ni Sayyiduna Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka qaul apnao.

(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل، قَالَ: قَالَ عَامِرٌ: "خُذْ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَدِّ مَا اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: يَعْنِي قَوْلَ زَيْدٍ.
