Chapter on the prohibition of killing frogs and bees

باب النهي عن قتل الضفدع والنحلة

Sunan al-Darimi 2037

It is narrated on the authority of Abdur Rahman bin Uthman that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the killing of frogs.


Grade: Sahih

عبدالرحمٰن بن عثان سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مینڈکوں کے قتل کرنے سے منع فرمایا۔

Abdul Rahman bin Uthman se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne maindakon ke qatal karne se mana farmaya.

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْقَارِظِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الضِّفْدَعِ".

Sunan al-Darimi 2038

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the killing of four animals: the ant, the bee, the hoopoe and the sparrow hawk.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے چار جانوروں: چیونٹی، شہد کی مکھی، ہُدہُد اور چھوٹی چڑیا کے قتل کرنے سے منع فرمایا۔

Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne kaha ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne chaar jaanwaron: cheonti, shahad ki makhi, hudhud aur chhoti chidiya ke qatal karne se mana farmaya.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:"نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِ أَرْبَعَةٍ مِنْ الدَّوَابِّ: النَّمْلَةِ، وَالنَّحْلَةِ، وَالْهُدْهُدِ، وَالصُّرَدِ".
