Sunan al-Darimi 1741
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Avoid continuous fasting." The people asked, "But you observe continuous fasting, O Messenger of Allah?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I am not like you, for my Lord gives me food and drink during the night."

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم لوگ وصال سے بچو“، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: آپ تو وصال کرتے ہیں؟ فرمایا: ”میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں، رات میں مجھے میرا رب کھلاتا اور پلاتا ہے۔“
Sayyidina Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Tum log wisal se bacho", logon ne arz kiya: Aap to wisal karte hain? Farmaya: "Main tumhari tarah nahin hun, raat mein mujhe mera Rab khilata aur pilata hai."
أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ"مَرَّتَيْنِ. قَالُوا: فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ؟ قَالَ:"إِنِّي لَسْتُ مِثْلَكُمْ، إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي".
