Sunan al-Darimi 1982
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to spend the nights of Mina in Makkah so that he could provide water to the pilgrims. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave him permission.

سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ سیدنا عباس بن عبدالمطلب رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے اجازت مانگی کہ وہ حجاج کرام کو پانی پلانے کی خاطر منیٰ کی راتیں مکہ میں گزار سکتے ہیں؟ تو آپ ﷺ نے انہیں اجازت دے دی۔
Sayidna Ibn Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Sayidna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se ijazat mangi ki woh hujjaj kiram ko pani pilane ki khatir Mina ki raaten Makkah mein guzar sakte hain? To Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen ijazat de di.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ الْعَّبَاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَبِيتَ بِمَكَّةَ لَيَالِيَ مِنًى مِنْ أَجْلِ سِقَايَتِهِ. فَأَذِنَ لَهُ".
