Sunan al-Darimi 2204
Sayyiduna Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not permit Sayyiduna Uthman bin Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him) to abstain from women. If the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had given him permission, we would have castrated ourselves (so that the thought of women would not even cross our minds).

سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں نبی کریم ﷺ نے سیدنا عثمان بن مظعون رضی اللہ عنہ کو عورت سے الگ رہنے کی اجازت نہیں دی، اگر آپ ﷺ انہیں اس کی اجازت دے دیتے تو ہم بھی اپنے آپ کو خصی بنا لیتے. (تاکہ عورت کا خیال ہی نہ آئے)۔
Sayyida Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) farmate hain Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Sayyida Usman bin Maz'oon (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko aurat se alag rehne ki ijazat nahi di, agar aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) unhen iski ijazat de dete to hum bhi apne aap ko khasi bana lete. (taake aurat ka khayal hi na aaye).
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، يَقُولُ: "لَقَدْ رَدَّ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ، وَلَوْ أَجَازَ لَهُ التَّبَتُّلَ، لَاخْتَصَيْنَا".
