Chapter: Inheritance of a minor.
باب: ميراث الصبي
Sunan al-Darimi 3165
Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said: A newborn will not inherit until he cries, and the funeral prayer will not be offered for him until he cries. So, when he cries, the funeral prayer will be offered for him, he will be made an inheritor, and his blood money will be complete. That is, if someone kills him, the full blood money will be due, the same as that of a man.

ابراہیم رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: نومولود جب تک چیخے نہیں وارث نہ ہو گا، اور اس پر نماز (جنازہ) نہیں پڑھی جائے گی جب تک آواز نہ نکالے، پس جب آواز نکالے تو اس پر نماز بھی پڑھی جائے گی اور وارث بنایا جائے گا، اور اس کی دیت بھی کامل ہو گی۔ یعنی اگر کوئی اسے مار ڈالے تو پوری دیت ہو گی جتنی ایک آدمی کی دیت ہوتی ہے۔
Ibrahim rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: nau molood jab tak cheekhay nahin waris na ho ga, aur us par namaz (janaza) nahin parhi jaye gi jab tak aawaz na nikale, pas jab aawaz nikale to us par namaz bhi parhi jaye gi aur waris banaya jaye ga, aur us ki deyat bhi kaamil ho gi. yani agar koi use maar dale to poori deyat ho gi jitni ek aadmi ki deyat hoti hai.
(حديث مقطوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: "لَا يُوَرَّثُ الْمَوْلُودُ حَتَّى يَسْتَهِلَّ، وَلَا يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَسْتَهِلَّ، فَإِذَا اسْتَهَلَّ، صُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَوُرِّثَ، وَكُمِّلَتْ الدِّيَةُ".
