Younus bin Ubaid said: Imam Hasan Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, used to write and dictate, while Imam Muhammad bin Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, neither wrote nor dictated.
یونس بن عبید نے کہا: امام حسن بصری رحمہ اللہ لکھتے لکھاتے تھے اور امام محمد بن سیرین رحمہ اللہ نہ لکھتے اور نہ لکھاتے تھے۔

(حديث موقوف) أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، قَالَ: "كَانَ الْحَسَنُ يَكْتُبُ وَيُكْتِبُ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ سِيرِينَ لَا يَكْتُبُ وَلَا يُكْتِبُ".
