باب من رخص في كتابة العلم
Sunan al-Darimi 505
Abdullah ibn Dinar said that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote to the people of Medina, "Seek out the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and write them down. I fear the disappearance of knowledge and the passing away or departure of the people of knowledge."

عبداللہ بن دینار نے فرمایا کہ عمر بن عبدالعزيز رحمہ اللہ نے اہل مدینہ کو لکھا کہ حدیث رسول ﷺ تلاش کر کے اس کو لکھ لیں، مجھے علم کے مٹ جانے اور اہل علم کے ختم ہو جانے یا چلے جانے کا خوف ہے۔
abdallah bin dinar ne farmaya keh umar bin abdulaziz rehmatullah alaih ne ahl madinah ko likha keh hadees rasool (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) talash kar ke us ko likh len, mujhe ilm ke mit jane aur ahl ilm ke khatam ho jane ya chale jane ka khauf hai.
(حديث مقطوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ: "أَنْ انْظُرُوا حَدِيثَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاكْتُبُوهُ، فَإِنِّي قَدْ خِفْتُ دُرُوسَ الْعِلْمِ وَذَهَابَ أَهْلِهِ".
