It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hamzah al-Thamali that Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "The evil of knowledge is forgetting."
Grade: Sahih
ابوحمزه التمار سے مروی ہے، حسن بصری رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا: علم کی برائی نسیان ہے۔
AbuHamza alTamar se marvi hai, Hasan Basri rahmatullah alaih ne farmaya: ilm ki burai nisyah hai.
(حديث مقطوع) أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيُّ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: "غَائِلَةُ الْعِلْمِ النِّسْيَانُ".
