Sahih Ibn Hibban 1989
Abu Malik al-Ash'ari's father said, "I prayed behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he did not perform Qunut, I prayed behind Abu Bakr and he did not perform Qunut, I prayed behind Umar and he did not perform Qunut, I prayed behind Uthman and he did not perform Qunut, and I prayed behind Ali and he did not perform Qunut." Then he said, "O my son, it is an innovation."
ابو مالک اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کے والد نے بیان کیا کہ "میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قنوت نہیں پڑھی، میں نے ابو بکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی تو انہوں نے قنوت نہیں پڑھی، میں نے عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی تو انہوں نے قنوت نہیں پڑھی، میں نے عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی تو انہوں نے قنوت نہیں پڑھی اور میں نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی تو انہوں نے قنوت نہیں پڑھی" پھر انہوں نے فرمایا "بیٹا! یہ (یعنی قنوتِ نماز) بدعت ہے۔"
Abu Malik Ashari razi Allah anhu ke walid ne bayan kya ke "main ne Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke peeche namaz parha to aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne qunut nahi parhi, main ne Abu Bakr razi Allah anhu ke peeche namaz parha to unhon ne qunut nahi parhi, main ne Umar razi Allah anhu ke peeche namaz parha to unhon ne qunut nahi parhi, main ne Usman razi Allah anhu ke peeche namaz parha to unhon ne qunut nahi parhi aur main ne Ali razi Allah anhu ke peeche namaz parha to unhon ne qunut nahi parhi" phir unhon ne farmaya "beta! yeh (yani qunut e namaz) bidat hai"
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ «صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَقْنُتْ وَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَلَمْ يَقْنُتْ وَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ عُمَرَ فَلَمْ يَقْنُتْ وَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ عُثْمَانَ فَلَمْ يَقْنُتْ وَصَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ عَلِيٍّ فَلَمْ يَقْنُتْ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّهَا بِدْعَةٌ»
