Sahih Ibn Hibban 7028
`Aishah reported: I went out on the day (of the battle) of the Trench. I was following the footsteps of the people. I heard the clinking of armor behind me. I turned around and there was Sa'd bin Mu'adh and with him was his nephew, Al-Harith bin Aws, carrying his shield. So I sat down on the ground and Sa'd passed by while (he was wearing) a coat of mail, the edges of which were protruding out. I feared for the edges of the armor of Sa'd, for he was one of the biggest and tallest men amongst the people. She said: So he passed by while he was reciting verses and saying:
آئشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ میں خندق کے دن (مدینہ سے) نکلی، میں لوگوں کے قدموں کے نشانوں پر چل رہی تھی کہ پیچھے سے ہتھیاروں کی کھنک کی آواز سنی، میں نے پیچھے مُڑ کر دیکھا تو سعد بن معاذ تھے اور ان کے ساتھ ان کے بھتیجے حارث بن اوس اپنی ڈھال اٹھائے ہوئے تھے، میں زمین پر بیٹھ گئی اور سعد (رضی اللہ عنہ) زرہ پہنے ہوئے تھے جس کے کنارے باہر نکل رہے تھے، مجھے سعد (رضی اللہ عنہ) کے زرہ کے کناروں کا ڈر لگ رہا تھا کیونکہ وہ لوگوں میں سے سب سے بڑے اور لمبے آدمیوں میں سے تھے، وہ کہتی ہیں کہ وہ یہ اشعار پڑھتے ہوئے گزرے:
Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha bayan karti hain keh main Khandaq ke din (Madina se) nikli, main logon ke qadmon ke nishanon par chal rahi thi keh peeche se hathiyaron ki khank ki aawaz suni, maine peeche mud kar dekha to Saad bin Muaz the aur unke sath unke bhateeje Harith bin Aus apni dhal uthaye hue the, main zameen par baith gayi aur Saad (Razi Allahu Anhu) zirah pehne hue the jis ke kinare bahar nikal rahe the, mujhe Saad (Razi Allahu Anhu) ke zirah ke kinaron ka dar lag raha tha kyunki woh logon mein se sab se bade aur lambe admiyon mein se the, woh kehti hain ki woh yeh ashaar padhte hue guzre
أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ خَرَجْتُ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ أَقْفُو أَثَرَ النَّاسِ فَسَمِعْتُ وَئِيدَ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ وَرَائِي فَالْتَفَتُّ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِسَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ وَمَعَهُ ابْنُ أَخِيهِ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَوْسٍ يَحْمِلُ مِجَنَّهُ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَمَرَّ سَعْدٌ وَعَلَيْهِ دِرْعٌ قَدْ خَرَجَتْ مِنْهَا أَطْرَافُهُ فَأَنَا أَتَخَوَّفُ عَلَى أَطْرَافِ سَعْدٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ النَّاسِ وَأَطْوَلِهِمْ قَالَتْ فَمَرَّ وَهُوَ يَرْتَجِزُ وَيَقُولُ
