It was narrated from Anas bin Malik ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) did not raise his hands in any of his supplications except when praying for rain (Istisqa’), when he raised his hands so high that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ اپنی کسی بھی دعا میں اپنے ہاتھ ( مبالغہ کے ساتھ ) نہیں اٹھاتے تھے، البتہ آپ استسقاء میں اپنے ہاتھ اتنا اوپر اٹھاتے کہ آپ کی بغلوں کی سفیدی دکھائی دیتی ۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni kisi bhi dua mein apne hath ( mubaligha ke sath ) nahin uthate the, balke aap istasqa mein apne hath itna oopar uthate ke aap ki baglon ki safedi dikhayi deti
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ إِلَّا عِنْدَ الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ .
