Sunan Ibn Majah 1565
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) offered the funeral prayer, then he came to the grave of the deceased and scattered three handfuls of earth from the side of (the deceased’s) head. 49 Return to Contents

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک نماز جنازہ پڑھی، پھر میت کی قبر کے پاس تشریف لا کر اس پر سرہانے سے تین مٹھی مٹی ڈالی۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek namaz janaza parhi, phir mayyat ki qabr ke pas tashrif la kar us par sarhane se teen mutthi mitti dali.
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُلْثُومٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ، ثُمَّ أَتَى قَبْرَ الْمَيِّتِ، فَحَثَى عَلَيْهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا .
