Sunan Ibn Majah 1633
Ubayy bin Ka’b (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they were with the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and they all had a single focus, but when he passed away, they started to look here and there (i.e., have different interests).

ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ تھے، تو ہم سب ایک رخ تھے، لیکن جب آپ کا انتقال ہو گیا تو پھر ہم ادھر ادھر دیکھنے لگے۔
Abi bin Ka'ab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke hum Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath the, to hum sab ek rukh the, lekin jab aap ka intikal ho gaya to phir hum udhar udhar dekhne lage.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّمَا وَجْهُنَا وَاحِدٌ، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ نَظَرْنَا هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا .
