Sunan Ibn Majah 211
It was narrated that 'Uthman bin Affan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said : (according to one of the narrators) Shu'bah (he) said : 'The best of you' (and according to) Sufyan (he) said : "The most excellent of you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it."

عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ( شعبہ کہتے ہیں: ) تم میں سب سے بہتر ( کہا ) ، ( اور سفیان نے کہا: ) تم میں سب سے افضل ( کہا ) وہ ہے جو قرآن سیکھے اور سکھائے ۔
Usman bin Affan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: (Shuba kehte hain:) Tum mein sab se behtar (kaha), (aur Sufiyan ne kaha:) Tum mein sab se afzal (kaha) woh hai jo Quran seekhe aur sikhaye
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَسُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَالَ شُعْبَة: خَيْرُكُمْ ، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: أَفْضَلُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ .
