Chapter: What was narrated concerning reciting Qur’an when one is not in a state of purity

باب مَا جَاءَ فِي قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ
Sunan Ibn Majah 596
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said : 'No one who is sexually impure and no woman who is menstruating should recite anything of the Qur'an.'
Grade: Da'if
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جنبی اور حائضہ کچھ بھی قرآن نہ پڑھیں ۔
Abdulalh bin Umar razi Allah anhuma kehte hain ke Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: Junubi aur haiza kuchh bhi Quran na parhen.
قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا يَقْرَأُ الْجُنُبُ وَالْحَائِضُ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ .
