كِتَابُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

Chapter on the mention of drawing lots for the first row.

بَابُ ذِكْرِ الِاسْتِهَامِ عَلَى الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ.

Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1554

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If the people knew the reward for the call to prayer (adhan) and for being in the first row (in prayer), and they could not access it except by drawing lots, they would draw lots for it."

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر لوگوں کو اذان دینے اور پہلی صف (میں نماز پڑھنے) کا اجر و ثواب معلوم ہو جائے تو وہ اس کے حصول کے لئے قرعہ اندازی کریں۔“

Sayyidina Abu Hurairah Raziallahu Anhu bayan karte hain keh Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ”Agar logon ko azaan dene aur pehli saf (mein namaz parhne) ka ajr o sawab malum ho jaye to woh is ke husool ke liye qur'a andazi karen."

نا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْيَحْمَدِيُّ ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ . وَحَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَنَّ مَالِكًا حَدَّثَهُ. ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمِ ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، نا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ لاسْتَهَمُوا عَلَيْهِ"

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If the people knew (or you knew) what (great reward) there is in the first row, they would have cast lots for it."

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر لوگ جان لیں، یا تم جان لو کہ پہلی صف کا کس قدر اجر و ثواب ہے تو پھر صرف قرعہ اندازی ہی سے فیصلہ ہو (کہ کون پہلی صف میں کھڑا ہو گا)۔“

Sayyidina Abu Huraira razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: ”Agar log jaan lein, ya tum jaan lo keh pehli saf ka kis qadar ajr o sawab hai to phir sirf qur'a andazi hi se faisla ho (keh kaun pehli saf mein khara ho ga).“

نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، نا أَبُو قَطَنٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خِلاسِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ أَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي الصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ مَا كَانَتْ إِلا قُرْعَةً"
