Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2078

Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fast in any month of the year more than Sha'ban. He (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast the whole month of Sha'ban.

سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سال کے مہینوں میں سے ماہ شعبان سے زیادہ کسی مہینے کے روزے نہیں رکھتے تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس ماہ کے سارے روزے رکھتے تھے۔

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَزِيزٍ الأَيْلِيُّ , أَنَّ سَلامَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ , عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، قَالَتْ:" مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ مِنْ أَشْهُرِ السَّنَةِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ , كَانَ يَصُومُهُ كُلَّهُ"

A narration similar to the aforementioned one has been reported from Lady Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her. In it, there is an addition that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Do as much good deeds as you can bear, for Allah does not tire of (giving rewards) until you tire of (doing good deeds)." And the most beloved (optional) prayer to him was the one that was performed regularly, even if it was short. And his blessed practice was that whenever he started a prayer, he would always continue to offer it.

سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مذکورہ بالا کی مثل مروی ہے۔ اس میں یہ اضافہ ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اتنا عمل کرو جتنی تم طاقت رکھتے ہو کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ (اجر و ثواب دیتے ہوئے) نہیں تھکتا حتّیٰ کہ تم ہی (عمل کرکے) تھک جاتے ہو“ اور آپ کے نزدیک سب سے زیادہ محبوب (نفلی) نماز وہ تھی جس پر ہمیشگی کی جاتی، اگرچہ وہ تھوڑی سی ہو اور آپ کا عمل مبارک یہ تھا کہ آپ جب کوئی نماز پڑھتے تو اُسے ہمیشہ ادا کرتے۔

Saeeda Ayesha raza Allahu anha se mazkora bala ki misl marvi hai. Iss mein yeh izzafa hai ke Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: “Itna amal karo jitni tum taqat rakhte ho kyunki Allah ta'ala (ajro sawab dete hue) nahi thakkta hattakay tum hi (amal karke) thakk jate ho” aur Aap ke nazdeek sab se zyada mahboob (nafli) namaz woh thi jiss par hameshagi ki jati, agarcheh woh thodi si ho aur Aap ka amal mubarak yeh tha ke Aap jab koi namaz parhte to usse hamesha ada karte.

حَدَّثَنَا الصَّنْعَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى , حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ يَحْيَى , وَذَكَرَ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ , أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ , وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَنْبَرٍ , عَنْ يَحْيَى , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِمِثْلِهِ. وَزَادَ قَالَ: وَكَانَ يَقُولُ:" خُذُوا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ , فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا" , وَكَانَ أَحَبَّ الصَّلاةِ إِلَيْهِ مَا دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّتْ، وَكَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلاةً أَثْبَتَهَا
