Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to wear a gold ring. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up and threw it away and said, "I will never wear it." He said, "So the people threw away their rings."

حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ بلاشبہ رسول اللہ ﷺ سونے کی انگوٹھی پہنا کرتے تھے ۔ پھر ( ایک دن ) رسول اللہ ﷺ کھڑے ہوئے اور اسے پھینک دیا اور فرمایا :’’ میں اسے کبھی نہیں پہنوں گا ۔‘‘ تو لوگوں نے بھی اپنی انگوٹھیاں پھینک دیں ۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ki bila shuba Rasul Allah SAW sone ki anguthi pehna karte thay. Phir (ek din) Rasul Allah SAW kharay huye aur use phenk diya aur farmaya: "Main ise kabhi nahin pehnoon ga." To logon ne bhi apni anguthiyan phenk deen.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ : يَلْبَسُ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَبَذَهُ ، وَقَالَ : « لَا أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا »، قَالَ : فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ
