Mutarrif b. ‘Abdallah [b.] ash-Shikhkhir quoted his father as saying, “I came to the Prophet when he was engaged in prayer, and heard a sound from within him like the bubbling of a pot,” meaning that he was weeping. In a version he said, “I saw the Prophet praying and a sound came from his breast like the rumbling of a mill, owing to weeping.” Ahmad transmitted it. Nasa’i transmitted the first version and Abu Dawud the second.

مطرف بن عبداللہ بن شخیر اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو آپ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے تو رونے کی وجہ سے آپ کے پیٹ سے ہنڈیاں کے ابلنے کی سی آواز آ رہی تھی ۔ ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے : میں نے نبی ﷺ کو نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا تو رونے کی وجہ سے آپ کے سینے میں چکی چلنے کی سی آواز آ رہی تھی ۔ احمد ، اور امام نسائی نے پہلی روایت کی ہے اور امام ابوداؤد نے دوسری ۔ صحیح ۔
Mutraf bin Abdullah bin Shakhir apne walid se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha: Main Nabi ﷺ ki khidmat mein hazir hua to aap namaz parh rahe the to rone ki wajah se aap ke pet se handiyan ke ubalne ki si aawaz aa rahi thi. Ek dusri riwayat mein hai: Maine Nabi ﷺ ko namaz parhte huye dekha to rone ki wajah se aap ke sine mein chakki chalne ki si aawaz aa rahi thi. Ahmad, aur Imam Nasai ne pehli riwayat ki hai aur Imam Abu Dawood ne dusri. Sahih.
وَعَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَلِجَوْفِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ يَعْنِي: يَبْكِي\وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَفِي صَدْرِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الرَّحَا مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَرَوَى النَّسَائِيُّ الرِّوَايَةَ الْأُولَى وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ الثَّانِيَة\
