Abud Darda’ said:God’s Messenger stood up to pray and we heard him say, “I seek refuge in God from you”, then say, “I curse you with God’s curse,” three times, then he stretched but his hand as though he was taking something. When he finished the prayer we said, “Messenger of God, we heard you say something during the prayer which we have not heard you say before, and we saw you stretch out your hand.” He replied, “God’s enemy Iblis came with a flame of fire to put it in my face, so I said three times, ‘I seek refuge in God from you’. Then I said three times, ‘I curse you with God’s perfect curse', but he did not retreat. Thereafter I meant to seize him. I swear by God that had it not been for the supplication of my brother Solomon, he would have been bound and made an object of sport for the Medina children.”* * Cf. the tradition from Abu Huraira, p. 202. There it says, “my brother.” Here it is “our brother”, but the plural is often used for the singular. Muslim transmitted it.

ابودرداء بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمیں نماز پڑھا رہے تھے ، تو ہم نے آپ کو تین مرتبہ یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا :’’ میں تجھ سے اللہ کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ پھر فرمایا :’’ میں تجھے اللہ کی لعنت کے ذریعے لعنت بھیجتا ہوں ۔‘‘ اور آپ نے اپنا ہاتھ آگے بڑھایا جیسے آپ کوئی چیز پکڑ رہے ہوں ، پس جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ہم نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! ہم نے آپ کو نماز میں کچھ کہتے ہوئے سنا جو ہم نے اس سے پہلے آپ کو کہتے ہوئے نہیں سنا اور ہم نے آپ کو ہاتھ بڑھاتے ہوئے بھی دیکھا ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ کا دشمن ابلیس آگ کا ایک شعلہ لے کر آیا تاکہ وہ اسے میرے چہرے پر ڈال دے ، تو میں نے تین مرتبہ کہا : میں تجھ سے اللہ کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، پھر میں نے کہا : میں اللہ کی لعنت کامل کے ذریعے تجھ پر لعنت بھیجتا ہوں ، لیکن وہ تینوں مرتبہ پیچھے نہ ہٹا تو پھر میں نے اسے پکڑنے کا ارادہ کیا ، اللہ کی قسم ! اگر ہمارے بھائی سلیمان (علیہ السلام) کی دعا نہ ہوتی تو وہ صبح کے وقت یہاں بندھا ہوا ہوتا اور اہل مدینہ کے بچے اس کے ساتھ کھیل رہے ہوتے ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abu-Darda bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah humen namaz parrha rahe the, tou hum ne aap ko teen martaba ye kahte huye suna: "Mein tujh se Allah ki panaah chahta hun." Phir farmaya: "Mein tujhe Allah ki laanat ke zariye laanat bhejhta hun." Aur aap ne apna hath aage barhaya jaise aap koi cheez pakarr rahe hon, pas jab aap namaz se farigh huye tou hum ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Hum ne aap ko namaz mein kuchh kahte huye suna jo hum ne is se pehle aap ko kahte huye nahin suna aur hum ne aap ko hath barhate huye bhi dekha. Aap ne farmaya: "Allah ka dushman Iblees aag ka ek shola lekar aaya takkeh wo use mere chehre par daal de, tou mein ne teen martaba kaha: Mein tujh se Allah ki panaah chahta hun, phir mein ne kaha: Mein Allah ki laanat kaamil ke zariye tujh par laanat bhejhta hun, lekin wo teeno martaba peechhe na hata tou phir mein ne use pakadne ka irada kiya, Allah ki qasam! Agar hamare bhai Sulaiman (alaihis salam) ki dua na hoti tou wo subah ke waqt yahan bandha hua hota aur ahl Madinah ke bache uske sath khel rahe hote." Riwayat Muslim.
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ: «أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْكَ» ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَلْعَنُكَ بِلَعْنَةِ اللَّهِ» ثَلَاثًا وَبَسَطَ يَدَهُ كَأَنَّهُ يَتَنَاوَلُ شَيْئًا فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ سَمِعْنَاكَ تَقُولُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شَيْئًا لَمْ نَسْمَعْكَ تَقُولُهُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ وَرَأَيْنَاكَ بَسَطْتَ يَدَكَ قَالَ: إِنَّ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ إِبْلِيسَ جَاءَ بِشِهَابٍ مِنْ نَارٍ لِيَجْعَلَهُ فِي وَجْهِي فَقُلْتُ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ. ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: أَلْعَنُكَ بِلَعْنَةِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ فَلَمْ يَسْتَأْخِرْ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ أَرَدْتُ أَخْذَهُ وَاللَّهِ لَوْلَا دَعْوَةُ أَخِينَا سُلَيْمَانَ لَأَصْبَحَ مُوثَقًا يَلْعَبُ بِهِ وِلْدَانُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَة. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
