Description of Friday prayer (Jumu'ah)

Abu Lubaba b. ‘Abd al-Mundhir reported God’s Messenger as saying, "Friday is the lord of days and the chiefest of them in God’s sight, being greater in God's sight than the day of sacrifice and the day of breaking the fast. It has five distinguishing characteristics:on it God created Adam, on it God sent Adam down to the earth, on it God took Adam in death, it contains a time at which no one will ask for anything without God giving it, so long as he does not ask for anything unlawful, and on it the last hour will come. There is no angel near God’s presence, or sky, or earth, or winds, or mountains, or sea which do not fear Friday.” Ibn Majah transmitted it. Ahmad transmitted from Sa'd b. Mu'adh that one of the Ansar went to the Prophet and asked him to tell him about the good contained in Friday. He replied, "It has five distinguishing characteristics ...” and he carried on to the end of the tradition.

ابولبابہ بن عبدالمنذ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بے شک جمعہ کے دن اللہ کے ہاں سیدالایام اور باقی ایام سے عظیم تر ہے ۔ وہ اللہ کے ہاں یوم الاضحی اور یوم الفطر سے بھی عظیم تر ہے ۔ اس کو پانچ خصوصیات حاصل ہیں : اللہ نے آدم ؑ کو اسی روز تخلیق فرمایا ، اللہ نے اسی روز آدم ؑ کو زمین پر اتارا ، اللہ نے اسی روز آدم ؑ کو وفات دی ، اس میں ایک ایسی گھڑی ہے کہ اس میں بندہ جو بھی حلال چیز طلب کرتا ہے ۔ وہ اسے مل جاتی ہے ۔ اور اسی روز قیامت قائم ہو گی ، مقرب فرشتے ، آسمان و زمین ، ہوا ، پہاڑ اور سمندر جمعہ کے دن سے خائف رہتے ہیں ۔‘‘ ضعیف ۔
Abulababah bin Abdalmunzir bayan karte hain, Nabi ne farmaya: ''Be shak juma ke din Allah ke han sayyid-ul-ayyam aur baqi ayyam se azeem tar hai. Wo Allah ke han Yaum-ul-Azha aur Yaum-ul-Fitr se bhi azeem tar hai. Iss ko panch khususiyat hasil hain: Allah ne Aadam ko isi roz takhleeq farmaya, Allah ne isi roz Aadam ko zameen par utara, Allah ne isi roz Aadam ko wafat di, iss mein ek aisi ghari hai ke iss mein banda jo bhi halal cheez talab karta hai. Wo ussay mil jati hai. Aur isi roz qayamat qaim ho gi, muqarrab farishte, asmaan o zameen, hawa, pahar aur samandar juma ke din se khaif rehte hain.'' Zaeef.
عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ سَيِّدُ الْأَيَّامِ وَأَعْظَمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ فِيهِ خَمْسُ خِلَالٍ: خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ آدَمَ وَأَهْبَطَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ آدَمُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ وَفِيهِ تَوَفَّى اللَّهُ آدَمَ وَفِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يَسْأَلُ الْعَبْدُ فِيهَا شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ مَا لَمْ يَسْأَلْ حَرَامًا وَفِيهِ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ مَا مِنْ مَلَكٍ مُقَرَّبٍ وَلَا سَمَاءٍ وَلَا أَرْضٍ وَلَا رِيَاحٍ وَلَا جِبَالٍ وَلَا بَحْرٍ إِلَّا هُوَ مُشْفِقٌ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه
