Description of visiting the sick and the reward for illness
بيان زيارة المريض وأجر المرض
Mishkat al-Masabih 1566
He reported God’s messenger as saying, “The magnitude of the reward goes along with the magnitude of the affliction. When God who is great and glorious loves people He afflicts them, and those who accept it gladly receive God’s good pleasure, but those who are displeased receive God’s displeasure. Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بے شک بڑی جزا بڑی آزمائش کے ساتھ ہے ، کیونکہ اللہ عزوجل جب کسی قوم سے محبت کرتا ہے تو وہ انہیں آزماتا ہے ، جو شخص اس پر راضی ہو تو اسے رضا مندی حاصل ہو جاتی ہے ، اور جو شخص ناراضی کا اظہار کرے تو وہ اس کی ناراضی کا مستحق ٹھہرتا ہے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی و ابن ماجہ ۔
Anas bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Be shak badi jaza badi azmaish ke sath hai, kyunkay Allah Azzawajal jab kisi qaum se muhabbat karta hai to woh unhen azmata hai, jo shaks is par razi ho to usay raza mandi hasil ho jati hai, aur jo shaks narazgi ka izhar kare to woh uski narazgi ka mustahiq theharta hai.'' Isnadahu hasan, riwayat Tirmizi wa Ibn Majah.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ عِظَمَ الْجَزَاءِ مَعَ عِظَمِ الْبَلَاءِ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا ابْتَلَاهُمْ فَمَنْ رَضِيَ فَلَهُ الرِّضَا وَمَنْ سَخِطَ فَلَهُ السَّخَطُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَه\
