Description of visiting the sick and the reward for illness
بيان زيارة المريض وأجر المرض
Mishkat al-Masabih 1596
Al'Irbad b. Sariya reported God’s messenger as saying:The martyrs and those who die on their beds will apply to our Lord who is great and glorious for a decision regarding those who die of plague. The martyrs will say, “Our brethren were killed just as we were and those who died a natural death will say, “Our brethren died on their beds just as we died.”. Our Lord will reply, “Look at their wound, for if their wounds resemble those of people who have been killed they are of their number and will be associated with them, for their wounds have resembled theirs." Ahmad and Nasa’i transmitted it.

عرباض بن ساریہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ شہداء اور اپنے بستروں پر وفات پانے والے ، طاعون کی وجہ سے فوت ہونے والوں کے بارے میں ہمارے رب عزوجل کے سامنے مقدمہ پیش کریں گے تو شہداء عرض کریں گے : ہمارے بھائی ہیں وہ ویسے ہی شہید کیے گئے جیسے ہم شہید کیے گئے ، جبکہ فوت ہونے والے کہیں گے ، یہ ہمارے بھائی ہیں ، یہ بھی ویسے ہی اپنے بستروں پر فوت ہوئے جس طرح ہم فوت ہوئے ، ہمارا رب فرمائے گا : ان کے زخم دیکھو ، اگر تو ان کے زخم ، مقتولین (شہداء) کے زخموں کی طرح ہیں تو پھر یہ ان میں سے ہیں اور ان کے ساتھ ہیں ، پس ان کے زخم انہی کے زخموں سے مشابہ تھے ۔‘‘ حسن ، رواہ احمد و النسائی ۔
Arabaz bin Sariya RA se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya: ''Shuhada aur apne bistaron par wafaat paane wale, ta'un ki wajah se fout hone walon ke baare mein humare Rab Azza wa Jal ke samne muqaddama pesh karenge to shuhada arz karenge: Humare bhai hain woh waise hi shaheed kiye gaye jaise hum shaheed kiye gaye, jabkay fout hone wale kahenge, Yeh humare bhai hain, yeh bhi waise hi apne bistaron par fout huye jis tarah hum fout huye, hamara Rab farmayega: Inke zakhm dekho, agar to inke zakhm, maqtoolin (shuhada) ke zakhmon ki tarah hain to phir yeh in mein se hain aur inke sath hain, pas inke zakhm unhi ke zakhmon se mushabih the.'' عَن الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يَخْتَصِمُ الشُّهَدَاءُ وَالْمُتَوَفَّوْنَ على فرشهم إِلَى رَبنَا فِي الَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ فَيَقُولُ الشُّهَدَاءُ: إِخْوَاننَا قتلوا كَمَا قتلنَا وَيَقُول: المتوفون على فرشهم إِخْوَانُنَا مَاتُوا عَلَى فُرُشِهِمْ كَمَا مِتْنَا فَيَقُولُ رَبنَا: انْظُرُوا إِلَى جراحهم فَإِن أشبهت جراحهم جِرَاحَ الْمَقْتُولِينَ فَإِنَّهُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَمَعَهُمْ فَإِذَا جِرَاحُهُمْ قد أشبهت جراحهم . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالنَّسَائِيّ
