He told that the Prophet entered a grave during the night, and when a lamp was lit for him he faced theqiblaand said, “God have mercy on you if you were devoted to supplication with tears (The Arabic is awwah which cannot easily be translated by one word. It is variously explained as meaning one much given to sighing through fear of God, one much given to supplication from love of God, one much given to weeping from fefir, or one much given to prayer asking for God’s mercy.Cf. Mirqat, ii, 376) and to the recitation of the Qur’an.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, but inSharh as- sunnaitsisnadis said to be weak.

ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ رات کے وقت ایک قبر میں داخل ہوئے تو آپ کے لیے چراغ روشن کیا گیا ، آپ نے (میت کو) قبلہ کی طرف سے لیا ، اور فرمایا :’’ اللہ تم پر رحم فرمائے ، تم بہت زیادہ تضریع (گریہ زاری) کرنے والے اور بہت زیادہ قرآن کی تلاوت کرنے والے تھے ۔‘‘ ترمذی ، اور انہوں (امام بغوی) نے شرح السنہ میں فرمایا : اس کی سند ضعیف ہے ۔ ضعیف ۔
Ibn Abbas se riwayat hai ke Nabi raat ke waqt ek qabar mein daakhil hue to aap ke liye chiragh roshan kiya gaya, aap ne (mayat ko) qibla ki taraf se liya, aur farmaya: ''Allah tum par reham farmaye, tum bohat zyada tazri (girya zari) karne wale aur bohat zyada Quran ki tilawat karne wale the.'' Tirmizi, aur unhon (Imam Baghawi) ne Sharahus Sunnah mein farmaya: is ki sanad zaeef hai. Zaeef.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ قَبْرًا لَيْلًا فَأُسْرِجَ لَهُ بسراج فَأخذ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْقِبْلَةِ وَقَالَ: «رَحِمَكَ اللَّهُ إِنْ كُنْتَ لَأَوَّاهًا تَلَّاءً لِلْقُرْآنِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ فِي شرح السّنة: إِسْنَاده ضَعِيف
