‘Abdallah b. Tha'laba, or Tha'laba b. ‘Abdallah b. Abu Su'air* reported on his father’s authority that God’s messenger said, “A sa’ of wheat** is to be taken from every two, young or old, freeman or slave, male or female. Those of you who are rich will be purified by God and those of you who are poor will have more than they gave returned by Him to them.” Abu Dawud transmitted it. * Abu Dawud,zakat, 21 gives the name as above, but others often give b. Su'air. Ibn 'Abd al-Barr in Isti'ab and Ibn Hajar in Tahdhib give b. Su'air, adding that b. Abu Su'air also occurs. ** The transmitter is not sure which word for "wheat” was used, so he gives either burr or qamh.

عبداللہ بن ثعلبہ یا ثعلبہ بن عبداللہ بن ابی صعیر اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ایک صاع گندم ہر دو پر واجب ہے ، چھوٹا ہو یا بڑا ، آزاد ہو یا غلام ، مرد ہو یا عورت ، رہا تمہارا مال دار شخص تو اللہ اس کا تزکیہ فرما دے گا اور رہا تمہارا محتاج شخص تو اس کو دیے ہوئے سے زیادہ دیا جائے گا ۔‘‘ ضعیف ۔
Abdullah bin Thalabah ya Thalabah bin Abdullah bin Abi Sayyar apne walid se riwayat karte hain, Rasool Allah ﷺ ne farmaya: ''Ek sa'a gandam har do par wajib hai, chhota ho ya bada, azad ho ya ghulam, mard ho ya aurat, raha tumhara maal daar shakhs to Allah uska tazkiya farma dega aur raha tumhara mohtaj shakhs to usko diye huye se ziada diya jayega.'' وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ أَوْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي صُعَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «صَاعٌ مِنْ بُرٍّ أَوْ قَمْحٍ عَنْ كُلِّ اثْنَيْنِ صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى. أَمَّا غَنِيُّكُمْ فَيُزَكِّيهِ اللَّهُ. وَأَمَّا فَقِيرُكُمْ فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِ أَكْثَرَ مَا أعطَاهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
