‘Ā’isha reported the Prophet as saying, “Reciting the Qur’ān during prayer is more excellent than reciting it at other times, and reciting the Qur’ān at a time other than during prayer is more excellent than extolling God and declaring His greatness. Extolling God is more excellent thansadaqa,sadaqais more excellent than fasting, and fasting is a protection from hell.” Transmitted by Baihaqī inShu'ab al-īmān.

عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ دوران نماز قراءت قرآن ، نماز کے علاوہ قراءت قرآن سے افضل ہے ، اور نماز کے علاوہ قراءت قرآن ، تسبیح و تکبیر سے افضل ہے ، اور تسبیح (سبحان اللہ کہنا) صدقہ سے افضل ہے ، صدقہ روزہ سے افضل ہے جبکہ روزہ جہنم سے ڈھال ہے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف جذا ۔
Ayesha se riwayat hai keh Nabi ne farmaya: ''Doran namaz qirat Quran, namaz ke ilawa qirat Quran se afzal hai, aur namaz ke ilawa qirat Quran, tasbeeh o takbeer se afzal hai, aur tasbeeh (Subhan Allah kehna) sadaqah se afzal hai, sadaqah roza se afzal hai jabkeh roza jahannam se dhaal hai.'' Isnad zaeef jada.
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «قِرَاءَةُ الْقُرْآنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ فِي غَيْرِ الصَّلَاةِ وَقِرَاءَةُ الْقُرْآنِ فِي غَيْرِ الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ التَّسْبِيحِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ وَالتَّسْبِيحُ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالصَّدَقَةُ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الصَّوْمِ وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ
