Anas reported God’s messenger as stating that God has said, “Son of Adam, as long as you supplicate me and hope in me I will pardon you in spite of what you have done, and I do not care. Son of Adam, if your sins were so numerous as to reach the lofty regions of the sky, then you asked my forgiveness, I would forgive you, and I do not care. Son of Adam, if you were to meet me with enough sins to fill the earth, then met me not associating anything with me, I would bring you as much pardon as would fill the earth.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad and Darimi transmitted it from Abu Dharr. Tirmidhi said this is ahasan gharibtradition.

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے : ابن آدم ! جب تک تو مجھ سے دعا کرتا رہے گا اور مجھ سے (بخشش کی) امید رکھے گا تو میں تمہیں معاف کرتا رہوں گا خواہ تمہارے گناہ کتنے ہی زیادہ کیوں نہ ہوں اس کی مجھے کوئی پرواہ نہیں ، ابن آدم ! اگر تیرے گناہ آسمان کے ابر (کناروں) تک پہنچ جائیں ، پھر تو مجھ سے مغفرت طلب کرے تو میں تمہیں معاف کر دوں گا اور مجھے اس کی کوئی پرواہ نہیں ، ابن آدم ! اگر تو زمین کے بھرنے کے برابر گناہ کر کے میرے پاس آئے لیکن تو نے میرے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھہرایا ہو ، تو میں اتنی ہی مقدار میں مغفرت لے کر تمہارے پاس آؤں گا ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی (۳۵۴۰) ۔
Anas (RA) bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: “Allah Ta’ala farmata hai: Ibn-e-Adam! Jab tak tum mujh se dua karta rahega aur mujh se (bakhshish ki) umeed rakhega to main tumhein maaf karta rahunga chahe tumhare gunah kitne hi zyada kyun na hon is ki mujhe koi parwah nahin, Ibn-e-Adam! Agar tere gunah asman ke abra (kinaron) tak pahunch jayen, phir tum mujh se maghfirat talab kare to main tumhein maaf kar dunga aur mujhe is ki koi parwah nahin, Ibn-e-Adam! Agar tum zameen ke bharne ke barabar gunah kar ke mere pass aaye lekin tum ne mere sath kisi ko sharik nah thahraya ho, to main utni hi miqdar mein maghfirat lekar tumhare pass aaunga.” Isnaadahu hasan, riwayatut Tirmizi (3540).
عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنَّكَ مَا دَعَوْتَنِي وَرَجَوْتَنِي غَفَرْتُ لَكَ عَلَى مَا كَانَ فِيكَ وَلَا أُبَالِي يَا ابنَ آدمَ إِنَّك لَوْ بَلَغَتْ ذُنُوبُكَ عَنَانَ السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ اسْتَغْفَرْتَنِي غَفَرْتُ لَكَ وَلَا أُبَالِي يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنَّكَ لَوْ لَقِيتَنِي بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطَايَا ثُمَّ لَقِيتَنِي لَا تُشْرِكُ بِي شَيْئًا لَأَتَيْتُكَ بِقُرَابِهَا مغْفرَة . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
