Mishkat al-Masabih 2418
Sulaiman b. Surad said:Two men reviled one another in the Prophet’s presence when we were sitting near him, and when one of them who had become red in the face reviled the other angrily the Prophet said that he knew a phrase by repeating which the man could get rid of his angry feelings: “I seek refuge in God from that accursed devil.” Those present asked the man whether he heard what the Prophet was saying, and he replied, “I am not possessed by a devil.”* *Majnun. The word literally means to be possessed by a jinni, but it can also mean to be possessed by a devil.Shaitanis used in the preceding sentence.Majnunis also used meaning ‘mad’, but that does not fit this context. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

سلیمان بن صرد ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، دو آدمی نبی ﷺ کی موجودگی میں گالی گلوچ کرنے لگے جبکہ ہم آپ کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے ۔ اور ان میں سے ایک سخت غصے کی حالت میں دوسرے کو گالی دے رہا تھا اور اس کا چہرہ سرخ ہو چکا تھا ، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ میں ایک ایسا کلمہ جانتا ہوں اگر وہ اس کلمہ کو پڑھ لے تو اس کا غصہ ختم ہو جائے گا ، وہ کلمہ یہ ہے : میں شیطان مردود سے اللہ کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ صحابہ ؓ نے اس آدمی سے کہا : کیا تم نبی ﷺ کی بات نہیں سن رہے ؟ اس نے کہا : میں دیوانہ نہیں ہوں ! متفق علیہ ۔
Suleman bin Sard RA bayan karte hain, do aadmi Nabi SAW ki mojoodgi mein gaali galauch karne lage jabke hum aap ke paas baithe hue the. Aur un mein se ek sakht ghusse ki halat mein dusre ko gaali de raha tha aur us ka chehra surkh ho chuka tha, Nabi SAW ne farmaya: ''Mein ek aisa kalma janta hun agar wo is kalma ko parh le to us ka ghussa khatam ho jaye ga, wo kalma ye hai: Mein shaitan mardood se Allah ki panaah chahta hun.'' Sahaba RA ne is aadmi se kaha: Kya tum Nabi SAW ki baat nahin sun rahe? Usne kaha: Mein deewana nahin hun! Muttafiq alaih.
وَعَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدَ قَالَ: اسْتَبَّ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ جُلُوسٌ وَأَحَدُهُمَا يَسُبُّ صَاحِبَهُ مُغْضَبًا قَدِ احْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ عَنْهُ مَا يَجِدُ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ» . فَقَالُوا لِلرَّجُلِ: لَا تَسْمَعُ مَا يَقُولُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي لستُ بمجنون
