Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s messenger as saying, “An'umrain Ramadan is equal to ahajja. ” (hajjis the word for the pilgrimage andhajjais a form indicating a single observance.) He told of the Prophet meeting some riders at ar-Rauha’ (A place between thirty and forty miles from Medina on the way to Mecca) and asking who they were. They replied that they were Muslims and asked who he was. When he said that he was God's messenger a woman lifted up a boy to him and asked whether the child could be credited with having performed the pilgrimage, to which he replied, “Yes, and you will have a reward.” Muslim transmitted it.

ابن عباس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ روحاء کے مقام پر ایک قافلے سے ملے تو آپ نے پوچھا :’’ کون ہو ؟‘‘ انہوں نے عرض کیا ، مسلمان ۔ پھر انہوں نے پوچھا : آپ کون ہیں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ کا رسول ۔‘‘ ایک عورت نے ایک بچہ اٹھا کر عرض کیا : کیا اس کا حج ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں ، اور تمہارے لئے اس کا اجر ہے ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Ibn Abbas bayan karte hain keh Nabi Rooha ke maqam par aik qafle se mile to aap ne poocha: "Kaun ho?" Unhon ne arz kya, "Musalman." Phir unhon ne poocha: "Aap kaun hain?" Aap ne farmaya: "Allah ka Rasool." Aik aurat ne aik bachcha utha kar arz kya: "Kya is ka Hajj hai?" Aap ne farmaya: "Haan, aur tumhare lye is ka ajr hai." Riwayat Muslim.
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقِيَ رَكْبًا بِالرَّوْحَاءِ فَقَالَ: «مَنِ الْقَوْمُ؟» قَالُوا: الْمُسْلِمُونَ. فَقَالُوا: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ: «رَسُولُ اللَّهِ» فَرَفَعَتْ إِلَيْهِ امْرَأَةٌ صَبِيًّا فَقَالَتْ: أَلِهَذَا حَجٌّ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ وَلَكِ أَجَرٌ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
