Ibn ‘Abbas said that God’s messenger appointed the following places for putting on theihram:Dhul Hulaifa for the people of Medina, al- Juhfa for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of the Yemen ; so these spots are for these regions and for people of other regions who come to them intending to perform thehajjand the‘umra. The place where those who live nearer to Mecca should put on theihram(The pilgrim dress) is where they live, and so on and so on up to the inhabitants of Mecca itself who put on theihramin it. Bukhari and Muslim.

ابن عباس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اہل مدینہ کے لئے ذوالحلیفہ ، اہل شام کے لئے جحفہ ، اہل نجد کے لئے قرن منازل اور اہل یمن کے لئے یلملم کو میقات مقرر کیا ، وہ ان کے لئے ہیں اور ان کے علاوہ ان راستوں سے آنے والوں کے لئے ہیں جبکہ وہ حج اور عمرہ ادا کرنے کا ارادہ رکھتے ہوں ، اور جو ان مواقیت کے اندر کی جانب رہتا ہے تو وہ اپنے گھر سے احرام باندھے گا ، اور اس طرح اور اس طرح حتیٰ کہ مکہ والے مکہ سے احرام باندھیں گے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ibne Abbas bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne ahl Madina ke liye Zulhulayfah, ahl Shaam ke liye Juhfah, ahl Najd ke liye Qarnul Manazil aur ahl Yemen ke liye Yalamlam ko miqat muqarar kiya, wo unke liye hain aur unke ilawa un raaston se aane walon ke liye hain jabke wo Hajj aur Umrah ada karne ka irada rakhte hon, aur jo in mawaqeet ke andar ki jaanib rehta hai to wo apne ghar se ehram bandhega, aur is tarah aur is tarah hatta ke Makkah wale Makkah se ehram bandhenge. Muttafiq Alaih.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ: ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ: الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ: قَرْنَ الْمَنَازِلِ وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ: يَلَمْلَمَ فَهُنَّ لَهُنَّ وَلِمَنْ أَتَى عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِنَّ لِمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَمَنْ كَانَ دُونَهُنَّ فَمُهَلُّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَكَذَاكَ وَكَذَاكَ حَتَّى أهل مَكَّة يهلون مِنْهَا
