Description of Sacrifice (Qurbani)

Ibn ‘Abbas said that God’s messenger sent sixteen sacrificial camels with a man whom he put in charge of them. He asked God’s messenger what he should do with those of them which became fatigued and he replied, “Slaughter them, then dye their shoes in their blood, and put them on the sides of their humps ; but neither you nor any who are with you must eat any part of them.” Muslim transmitted it.

ابن عباس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک آدمی کے ساتھ قربانی کے سولہ اونٹ بھیجے اور اسے ان پر امیر مقرر کیا ، تو اس نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے رسول ! اگر ان میں سے کوئی چلنے سے عاجز آ جائے تو پھر میں کیا کروں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اسے نحر کر دینا اور اس (کےقلادے) کے جوتے اس کے خون میں رنگ کر اس کے پہلو پر نشان لگا دینا اور اس میں سے تم اور تمہارے ساتھی نہ کھائیں ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Ibn Abbas bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne ek aadmi ke sath qurbani ke solah unt bheje aur use in par ameer muqarrar kiya, to usne arz kiya, Allah ke Rasool! Agar in mein se koi chalne se aajiz aa jaye to phir mein kya karoon? Aap ne farmaya: ''Ise nahr kar dena aur is (ke qilade) ke joote is ke khoon mein rang kar is ke pehlu par nishan laga dena aur is mein se tum aur tumhare sathi na khayen.'' Riwayat Muslim.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِتَّةٌ عَشَرَ بَدَنَةً مَعَ رَجُلٍ وَأَمَّرَهُ فِيهَا. فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ بِمَا أُبْدِعَ عَلَيَّ مِنْهَا؟ قَالَ: «انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اصْبُغْ نَعْلَيْهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا عَلَى صَفْحَتِهَا وَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أهل رفقتك» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
