Ibn ‘Umar told that at the Farewell Pilgrimage God's messenger said, “O God, have mercy on those who have themselves shaved.” The people suggested that he should add those who had clipped their hair. He again said the same words, and when they made the same suggestion, he added “and those who clip their hair.” Bukhari and Muslim.

ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے حجۃ الوداع کے موقع پر فرمایا :’’ اے اللہ ! سر منڈانے والوں پر رحم فرما ۔‘‘ صحابہ نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! اور بال کترانے والوں پر بھی ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اے اللہ ! سر منڈانے والوں پر رحم فرما ۔‘‘ صحابہ نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! بال کترانے والوں پر بھی ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بال کترانے والوں پر بھی ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ibne Umar RA se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne Hajjatal Wida ke mauke par farmaya: “Aye Allah! Sar mundanay walon par reham farma.” Sahaba ne arz kiya: “Allah ke Rasul! Aur baal katarne walon par bhi.” Aap SAW ne farmaya: “Aye Allah! Sar mundanay walon par reham farma.” Sahaba ne arz kiya: “Allah ke Rasul! Baal katarne walon par bhi.” Aap SAW ne farmaya: “Baal katarne walon par bhi.” Mutafaq alaih.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ: «اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ» . قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ» . قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ»
