Description of reclaiming barren land and water rights

Ibn ‘Umar said that the Prophet assigned to az-Zubair the land his horse could cover at a run. He made his horse run, and when it stopped he threw his whip. He then said, “Give it to him up to the spot his whip has reached.” Abu Dawud transmitted it.

ابن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے زبیر ؓ کے لیے ان کے گھوڑے کی دوڑ تک مسافت کا رقبہ جاگیر میں عطا کیا ، انہوں نے اپنا گھوڑا دوڑایا حتی کہ وہ کھڑا ہو گیا ۔ پھر انہوں نے اپنا کوڑا پھینکا ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جہاں تک کوڑا پہنچا ہے وہاں تک رقبہ اسے عطا کر دو ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Ibne Umar RA se riwayat hai keh Nabi SAW ne Zubair RA ke liye un ke ghore ki daud tak masafat ka raqba jaagir mein ata kiya, unhon ne apna ghora doraya hatta keh woh khara ho gaya. Phir unhon ne apna kora phenka, Aap SAW ne farmaya: "Jahan tak kora pohancha hai wahan tak raqba use ata kar do." Isnadahu hasan, riwayat Abu Dawood.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْطَعَ لِلزُّبَيْرِ حُضْرَ فَرَسِهِ فَأَجْرَى فَرَسَهَ حَتَّى قَامَ ثُمَّ رَمَى بِسَوْطِهِ فَقَالَ: «أَعْطُوهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ بَلَغَ السَّوْطُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
