Anas said that Qais b. Sa‘d had a position in relation to the Prophet like that of a prefect of a district in relation to a governor. Bukhari transmitted it.

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، قیس بن سعد ؓ کا نبی ﷺ کے ہاں وہ مقام تھا جو حکمران کے ہاں کوتوال کا ہوتا ہے ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Anas RA bayan karte hain, Qais bin Saad RA ka Nabi SAW ke han woh maqam tha jo hakumran ke han kotwal ka hota hai. Riwayat al Bukhari.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ صاحبِ الشُّرَطِ منَ الأميرِ. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
