Mishkat al-Masabih 3784
‘Auf b. Malik told that the Prophet gave a decision between two men and that when the one against whom the decision had been given turned away he said, “My sufficiency is God, and good is the Guardian." Thereupon the Prophet said, “God most high blames for falling short, hut apply intelligence, and when a matter gets the better of you say, 'My sufficiency is God, and good is the Guardian’. (Al-Qur’an, 3:173) Abu Dawud transmitted it.

عوف بن مالک ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے دو آدمیوں کے درمیان فیصلہ فرمایا تو آپ نے جس شخص کے خلاف فیصلہ فرمایا جب وہ واپس جانے لگا تو اس نے کہا :’’ میرے لیے اللہ کافی ہے اور وہ اچھا کارساز ہے ۔‘‘ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ عجز و نادانی پر ملامت فرماتا ہے ، بلکہ تمہیں احتیاط کرنی چاہیے ، جب کوشش کے باوجود کوئی خلاف توقع واقعہ غالب آ جائے تو تم کہو :’’ میرے لیے اللہ کافی ہے اور وہ اچھا کارساز ہے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Aouf bin Malik se riwayat hai ki Nabi ne do aadmiyon ke darmiyaan faisla farmaya to aap ne jis shakhs ke khilaf faisla farmaya jab wo wapas jaane laga to usne kaha mere liye Allah kaafi hai aur wo achcha kaarsaz hai Nabi ne farmaya beshak Allah taala ujz o nadani par malamat farmata hai balki tumhen ehtiyat karni chahiye jab koshish ke bawajood koi khilaf tawaqqu waqea ghalib aa jaye to tum kaho mere liye Allah kaafi hai aur wo achcha kaarsaz hai Isnadahu hasan riwayat Abu Dawood
وَعَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ فَقَالَ الْمَقْضِيُّ عَلَيْهِ لَمَّا أَدْبَرَ: حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَلُومُ عَلَى الْعَجْزِ وَلَكِنْ عَلَيْكَ بِالْكَيْسِ فَإِذَا غَلَبَكَ أَمْرٌ فَقُلْ: حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ ونِعْمَ الوكيلُ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
