He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “One of the best types of subsistence is that of a man who grasps his horse’s rein in (God’s path and races on its back, making for the places where being killed and dying are liable to take place as often as he hears a terrible shout or a cry for help; or of a man with a few sheep on one of these highlands or down in one of thesewadiswho observes prayer, pays thezakatand worships his Lord till death* comes. Such a one is in a good condition among men.” *Al-yaqin, the certainty. Muslim transmitted it.

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ لوگوں میں سے اس شخص کی زندگی بہترین ہے جو اپنے گھوڑے کی لگام تھامے اللہ کی راہ میں نکلتا ہے ، وہ جب کبھی خوف یا فریادی کی آواز سنتا ہے تو وہ اس (گھوڑے) کی پشت پر (تیز رفتاری کی وجہ سے) اڑتا ہوا جاتا ہے وہ قتل اور موت کو اس کی ممکنہ جگہ سے تلاش کرتا ہے ، یا پھر اس آدمی کی زندگی بہترین ہے جو اپنی بکریاں لے کر کسی پہاڑ کی چوٹی پر یا کسی وادی میں پھرتا ہے ، وہ نماز پڑھتا ہے ، زکوۃ ادا کرتا ہے اور موت آنے تک اپنے رب کی عبادت کرتا رہتا ہے ، یہ دیگر لوگوں سے خیر و بھلائی پر ہے ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abu Hurairah bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: ''Logon mein se us shakhs ki zindagi behtarin hai jo apne ghore ki lagam thame Allah ki raah mein nikalta hai, woh jab kabhi khauf ya faryadi ki aawaz sunta hai to woh us (ghore) ki pusht par (tez raftari ki wajah se) urta hua jata hai woh qatl aur maut ko us ki mumkina jagah se talaash karta hai, ya phir us aadmi ki zindagi behtarin hai jo apni bakriyan lekar kisi pahaar ki choti par ya kisi waadi mein phirta hai, woh namaz parhta hai, zakat ada karta hai aur maut aane tak apne Rab ki ibadat karta rehta hai, yeh doosron se khair o bhalai par hai.'' Riwayat Muslim.
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مِنْ خَيْرِ مَعَاشِ النَّاسِ لَهُمْ رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ عِنَانَ فَرَسِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يَطِيرُ عَلَى مَتْنِهِ كُلَّمَا سَمِعَ هَيْعَةً أَوْ فَزْعَةً طَارَ عَلَيْهِ يَبْتَغِي الْقَتْلَ وَالْمَوْتَ مَظَانَّهُ أَوْ رَجُلٌ فِي غُنَيْمَةٍ فِي رَأْسِ شَعَفَةٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشَّعَفِ أَوْ بَطْنِ وَادٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَوْدِيَةِ يُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَيَعْبُدُ الله حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْيَقِينُ لَيْسَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا فِي خير» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
