‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar told that God’s Messenger held race between the horses which had been made lean by training from al-Hafya’ to Thaniyat al-Wada’, a distance of six miles, and he held a race between the horses which had not undergone such training from thethaniya* to the mosque of the B. Zuraiq, a distance of a mile. *Thaniyais a mountain pass. Thaniyat al-Wada' is a pass overlooking Medina by which people went on the road to Mecca. (Bukhari and Muslim)

عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے تربیت یافتہ گھوڑوں کے درمیان حفیاء سے ثنیۃ الوداع کے مابین گھڑ دوڑ کرائی اور ان دونوں کے درمیان چھ میل ہے ، اور غیر تربیت یافتہ گھوڑوں کے درمیان ثنیہ سے بنو زریق کی کی مسجد تک گھڑ دوڑ کرائی اور ان دونوں کے درمیان ایک میل کی مسافت ہے ۔ متفق علیہ ۔
Abdullah bin Umar RA se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne tarbiyat yafta ghoron ke darmiyan Hafia se Saniyatulwida ke maben ghor daud karaai aur un donon ke darmiyan chhe meel hai, aur ghair tarbiyat yafta ghoron ke darmiyan Saniya se Banu Zuraiq ki masjid tak ghor daud karaai aur un donon ke darmiyan ek meel ki masafat hai. Muttafiq Alaih.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سابَقَ بينَ الخيلِ الَّتِي أُضمِرَتْ منَ الحَفْياءِ وَأَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةُ الْوَدَاعِ وَبَيْنَهُمَا سِتَّةُ أَمْيَالٍ وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تَضْمُرُ مِنَ الثِّنْيَةِ إِلَى مَسْجِد بني زُرَيْق وَبَينهمَا ميل
