‘Umar b. Abu Salama said:I was a boy under the protection of God’s messenger, and as my hand used to roam at large in the dish he said to me, “Mention God’s name, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is next you.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

عمر بن ابی سلمہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے زیر پرورش لڑکا تھا اور (کھانے کے دوران) میرا ہاتھ پلیٹ میں ہر طرف گھومتا تھا ، (یہ حرکت دیکھ کر) رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھے فرمایا :’’ اللہ کا نام لے کر اپنے دائیں ہاتھ کے ساتھ اپنے سامنے سے کھاؤ ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Umar bin Abi Salama bayan karte hain, main Rasul Allah ke zer-e-parwarish ladka tha aur (khane ke dauran) mera hath plate mein har taraf ghoomta tha, (yeh harkat dekh kar) Rasul Allah ne mujhe farmaya: ''Allah ka naam lekar apne daayen hath ke sath apne samne se khao.'' Muttafiq alaih.
عَن عمر بن أبي سَلمَة قَالَ: كُنْتُ غُلَامًا فِي حِجْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَتْ يَدِي تَطِيشُ فِي الصفحة. فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «سم الله وكل يَمِينك وكل مِمَّا يليك»
