Abu Umama told that when the Prophet's cloth* was removed he said, "Praise be to God abundantly and sincerely, of such a nature as is productive of blessing, is not insufficient, abandoned, or ignored, O our Lord." *The wordma'idameans a piece of leather or some other material spread on the ground for the food, and it comes to mean the food itself. It is often translated ‘table’, but this is misleading with reference to the early days of Islam. Bukhari transmitted it.

ابوامامہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ جب دسترخوان اٹھا لیا جاتا تو نبی ﷺ یہ دعا فرمایا کرتے تھے :’’ ہر قسم کی بہت زیادہ پاکیزہ اور بابرکت حمد اللہ کے لیے ہے ، کفایت کی گئی نہ چھوڑی گئی ، اور نہ اس سے بے نیازی دکھائی جائے ، اے ہمارے رب !‘‘ رواہ البخاری ۔
Abu Umama RA se riwayat hai ki jab dastarkhwan utha liya jata to Nabi SAW ye dua farmaya karte thay: ''Har qisam ki bohat ziada pakeeza aur ba barkat hamd Allah ke liye hai, kifayat ki gayi na chori gayi, aur na is se bay niyaazi dikhai jaye, aye hamare Rab!'' Riwayat Al Bukhari.
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ مَائِدَتَهُ قَالَ: «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ غَيْرَ مَكْفِيٍّ وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْهُ رَبُّنَا» . رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ
