Suwaid b. Wahb quoted a son of a Companion of God’s messenger who said his father reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who gives up wearing beautiful garments when he is able to do so (out of humility, as is stated in a version) will be clothed by God with the robe of honour, and he who marries for God's sake will be crowned by God with the crown of the kingdom.” Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Tirmidhi transmitted the tradition about the clothing on Suwaid’s authority on the authority of Mu'adh b. Anas.

سوید بن وہب ، نبی ﷺ کے اصحاب کی اولاد میں سے کسی آدمی سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، وہ آدمی اپنے والد سے ، انہوں نے کہا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جس شخص نے طاقت کے باوجود اور ایک روایت کے مطابق تواضع کے طور پر خوبصورت لباس پہننا ترک کر دیا ، اللہ اسے عزت و کرامت کا جوڑا پہنائے گا ، اور جس شخص نے اللہ کی رضا کی خاطر (اپنے مرتبہ و معیار سے کم مرتبہ عورت سے) شادی کی تو اللہ اسے بادشاہت کا تاج پہنائے گا ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Suwaid bin Wahab, Nabi (ﷺ) ke ashaab ki aulaad mein se kisi aadmi se riwayat karte hain, woh aadmi apne wald se, unhon ne kaha, Rasul Allah (ﷺ) ne farmaya: ''Jis shakhs ne taqat ke bawajood aur ek riwayat ke mutabiq tawaazu ke taur par khoobsurat libas pehenna tark kar diya, Allah use izzat o karamat ka joda pehnaye ga, aur jis shakhs ne Allah ki raza ki khatir (apne martaba o meyaar se kam martaba aurat se) shadi ki to Allah use baadshahat ka taaj pehnaye ga.'' وَعَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ تَرَكَ لُبْسَ ثوبِ جمالٍ وَهُوَ يقدرُ عَلَيْهِ وَفِي رَاوِيه: تَوَاضُعًا كَسَاهُ اللَّهُ حُلَّةَ الْكَرَامَةِ وَمَنْ تَزَوَّجَ لِلَّهِ تَوَجَّهُ اللَّهُ تَاجَ الْمُلْكِ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
