‘Abd al-Wahid b. Aiman quoted his father as saying :I went in to visit ‘A’isha, and she was wearing a Qitri (A coarse kind of material. The name is said to be connected with a place, but there is a difference of opinion as to whether it was in Egypt or in the neighbourhood of al-Bahrain) shift which had cost five dirhams. She said, “Lift up your eyes to my slavegirl and look at her, for she is too proud to wear it in the house, yet I had a shift of this type in the time of God’s messenger, and there was not a woman in Medina who was being adorned who did not send to me to borrow it.” Bukhari transmitted it.

عبد الواحد بن ایمن اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، انہوں نے کہا : میں عائشہ ؓ کے پاس گیا تو انہوں نے پانچ درہم کی قطری قمیص زیب تن کر رکھی تھی ، انہوں نے فرمایا : میری لونڈی کی طرف نظر اٹھاؤ اور اسے دیکھو ، کیونکہ وہ گھر میں بھی ایسا کپڑا پہننا پسند نہیں کرتی ، جبکہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے عہد میں بھی میرے پاس اسی طرح کی ایک قمیص تھی ، مدینہ میں جس بھی عورت کا (شادی کے موقع پر) بناؤ سنگار کیا جاتا تو وہ اسے مستعار لینے کے لیے میری طرف پیغام بھیجتی تھی ۔ رواہ البخاری ۔
Abdul Wahid bin Ayman apne walid se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha: mein Ayesha ke paas gaya to unhon ne panch dirham ki qutri qamees zeb tan kar rakhi thi, unhon ne farmaya: meri laundi ki taraf nazar uthao aur use dekho, kyunki wo ghar mein bhi aisa kapda pehenna pasand nahin karti, jabke Rasool Allah ke ahd mein bhi mere paas isi tarah ki ek qamees thi, Madina mein jis bhi aurat ka (shadi ke mauqe par) banaao singhaar kiya jata to wo use mustaar lene ke liye meri taraf paigham bhejti thi. وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ أَيْمَنَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: دَخَلَتْ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ وَعَلَيْهَا دِرْعٌ قِطْرِيٌّ ثَمَنُ خَمْسَةِ دَرَاهِمَ فَقَالَتْ: ارْفَعْ بَصَرَكَ إِلَى جَارِيَتِي انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّهَا تُزْهَى أَنْ تَلْبَسَهُ فِي البيتِ وَقد كَانَ لِي مِنْهَا دِرْعٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا كَانَتِ امْرَأَةٌ تُقَيَّنُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ إِلَّا أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيَّ تَسْتَعِيرُهُ. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
